doc,

the PEOPLE only wanted to punish the ruling government, BN, for its lack lustre performance in managing the country. a lot of anger is actually focused on Pak La for his poor management style, weaknesses and that a lot of decisions were influenced by Khairy, his son-in-law. that fella has aspiration to become a PM by age 40. you should that too la ...

there was a power point slide showing the amount of corruption money tossed away to those politicians. if only i can get that material back, i will roll them to you.

in the slide, they talked about the purchase of the scorpene submarine being brokered for a fee of RM530M, crooked bridge pay off to the contractor for no work done, new lumut naval base costing RM59M which, upon completion, cannot be used as it was deemed unsafe.

and, of course, that zakaria deros incident did not help BN or pak la at all. to add salt to the wound, that selangor MB fella, toyo, supported the zakaria fella by saying 2 related councillors within the same council is alright. that is clear cut cronysm in the making. its staring at us in the eyeballs. such issues confirm the case of a corrupt and weak management, and condoned.

corruption has increased and increased unabated, gone overboard and unchecked. this zakaria deros incident is a fine example. things were not that bad under Dr. M' time. crime rate has gone up tremendously and with no real solutions in sight. the cost of living has gone up much as this country is rich in natural resource. lots of frustration.

none of us all realised that we have gone so far and had inadvertently moved the Opposition coalition into power. on that of election, there was a lot of talk with each other to just mark the 'X" on anything except BN. just deny them that vote, they say. on the night of the March 8th elections, we were all quite frightened, seeing the results rolling out one by one and victories over victories being claimed by the Opposition coalition.

over the past weeks, we are seeing development and the teething problems each party is going through, but it looks like we have all done a good thing in giving the Opposition more voice in parliament and in the state governments. Pak la and the BN team is humbled. they were so arrogant in the past and forgot to keep their ears on the ground. look at that samy vellu fella. still talking when he was booed so badly that he had no chance to handle his ceramah.

if you notice what they (BN) have all been saying lately - 'work hard work hard'. it looks like they have not been doing that for the past few years and had condoned corruption to the highest degree and Pak la plain lost control of everything. just look at the royalties today. they now have more voice than him as opposed to the Mahathir era where they were just puppets and towed his line, failing which, Dr. M will change the federal constitution not to their favor.

as mentioned in the papers many many times of late, BN should seriously rethink if the component parties of UMNO, MCA and MIC is necessary today. while PKR is a good mix of the races, DAP is not too far away either. it is in their manifesto to help all races.

we heard talk lately that anwar may want to form a 5 state government. another news - he is wooing BN candidates to jump over to the opposition. he openly mentioned this in today's papers.

we were all worried that there will be uprising following the outcome of the election results, but if we look at it from another aspect and previous trends, this is the first time where all three major races are pissed off with the BN goverment. no chaos la.

if they say they are being marginalised, it was the ruling government of the day that marginalised them, not the current Opposition government. so we just do not know what that UMNO march, after their friday prayers last week, to komtar was all about. we heard, the respond from guan eng saying 'its not me' . this change of events is simply ironic.

in today's paper, PKR has challenged UMNO for an open debate on malays being marginalised. they go in there, bet you, they (UMNO) will be screwed. don't go there, they will be labeled as cowards. they will be damned both ways.

mukhriz wrote in his letter to pak la asking that he steps down. hishamuddin has not taken action. wait see attitude. look la .. deep inside all of us, including you, we strongly believe he should step down. if you ask me, i am for the idea of anwar to become the new PM. this will be a ood change. no more weakling to head to the government. the situation just cannot get any worse. this might even spur investor interest and get the economy to move out of its slumber.

this new political scenerio has woken all of us up. its so interesting. such a change. we the PEOPLE finally had a good say. the ruling government suddenly have to learn to be an opposition. ironic. ironic.

doc, do not be offended by all the ranting, knowing where your stand is. i am just telling what i have been hearing from the streets. you are a good man. that 16,000 majority gap is not at you personally. it is who you stood for at that moment in time. nobody knows that opposition candidate or where he came from. heaven knows la...the people know you better, but like dr koh's case, the people simply voted for the opposition. you can rest assured you have our vote, but not to vote for BN.

its been nice talking to you. bring the whole bunch together and let us all have coffee. in fact, the bunch is waiting for you to show. take care.
